Troubleshooting:Accidentally hid all my admin users files under C:\Users\xxxxxx. Help! Error

Accidentally hid all my admin users files under C:\Users\xxxxxx. Help!

Last night, I accidentally hid all my admin user files under C:\Users\xxxxxx by right clicking and checking the hidden box.
Now only 4 icons showed up on my desktop vs the 35 or so that were there before I hid them.
Don't ask why I did it, but I had googled
a Firefox error issue and that's what the fix was.
NOW, I was unable to locate the C:\Users\xxxxxx folder I needed to unhide them.
I went to folder options and checked "show all hidden folders." The icons are now back but they are greyed out on my desktop.
What have I done and how do I fix it.

Thanks in advance....

Keep in mind that as Restore Points become older they become less useful as
you may not want to revert back that far.

Hope this helps.
