Additional Phantom "64 bit Program Files" folder can't be deleted or renamed
I have Win 64 Pro installed.
I have TWO "Program Files" folders (64 bit) and one "Program Files x86" (32 bit)
I cannot delete or rename the extra 64 bit folder. Clicking on a file under it brings up a dialog which says "refers to a location which is unavailable......" etc.
I have changed the ownership to me but still nothing.
I have regressed the install to previous restore points with the same results.
even a dos cmd shows both folders!
adding a file in the "usable" 64 bit folder adds the file in the phantom folder.
I really don't want to reinstall windows again.
I've just spent a week reinstalling with programs to install a new mobo and cpu etc.
I can post a .png of it but I don't know how to here.
thanks for the help.
Dave
