IE8 and add-ons
I just installed Ie8 today 7/24/09 after getting an invitation from Microsoft to do so.
It says "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled.
Click here to manage, disable, or remove your add-ons." When I click the list shows me that all my add-ons are ENABLED, but in fact they aren't.
How do I get them enabled.
At the present time I have a close-to-useless browser.

Hello Fhp911,
Welcome to the forum!
The shortcut that opens the Internet Explorer with no add-ons has a special tag on it.
Here is how you can fix your shortcut:
Right click the shortcut you are using to open Internet Explorer Click Create Shortcut Right click the shortcut you just created Click Rename Type "Internet Explorer (No add-ons)" (we don't want to lose the no add-ons shortcut as it can be helpful if you need to troubleshoot Internet Explorer)
Return to the original shortcut that we started with Right click the original shortcut Click Properties Click inside the Target text field (you will see ...Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff )
Delete the -extoff portion so that it reads ...Internet Explorer/iexplore.exe"
Click OK Open the shortcut
That should get you back to normal.
Look forward to hearing back from you.
