Cursor freezes on wake up if the mouse is moved
I have a brand new PC with Win7 Home Premium 32bit.
If the PC goes into sleep mode it can be woken by touching any keyboard key and all is fine but if it is woken by moving the USB mouse the cursor freezes.
If the mouse is unplugged and plugged back in
it works again.
Have tried 3 different USB mice now but no difference.
Any help would be appreciated.

You may also use some different USB ports on the machine and check if you face the same issue.
If the issue persists you may check after uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers.
You may disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
1. Click
Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click
System and Maintenance, click System, and then click
Device Manager.
Note If Control Panel is in Classic View, double-click
System, and then click Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click
Allow.
3. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
4. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
If you still face the same issue then you may check for the updated USB device drivers.

Don't Download Malware
Where are you getting the download?
There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.
Don't install download manager
Many sites suggest or require you to install an installer or a download manager before allowing you to download a program you may be interested in downloading. These tools almost always cause your computer more problems and may even have malware or other spyware. Avoid any site claiming anything must be installed first before you can continue with your download.
Avoid advertisements on download pages
To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.
Cancel or deny any automatic download
Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.
