I am have had a Stock Ticker application operating for a number of years which is linked through DDE to an Excel spreadsheet.  I do not recall making any changes from yesterday to today but for some reason when the I manually enable the spreadsheet to update
the link (to the application running) Excel will not connect.  No messages at all just the hour glass runs.
I've gone to the Edit links and connections area and can not find any problem.  The cell formulas have not changed either.  Here is the typical formula;
=PSM|'My Watch List\T'!Symbol
I have even erased the formula and retyped and once enter is hit it just sits there churning.  The other application is pretty easy to set up a link by drap and dropping in to a spreadsheet so I tried a new clean workbook and dragged a ticker symbol over
to the new spreadsheet and the same result.
I'm thinking that something within Excel has changes.  I've looked at the Trust center and the settings look reasonable.
Any suggestions?
