After unistalling Google Chrome, I can't do anything online through my homepage or any page. I have Windows 7 and use IE 9

After uninstalling Chrome from my computer when ever I click on my internet explorer icon and my hompage (yahoo.com) comes up, I can't do anything like scroll, click on a link or check my mail.
I get a message saying yahoo.com not responding.
When I try
a favorites page it will come up but I still can't scroll or click on anything on that page.
Nothing.
Please help.
