Belkin F5D8053 N USB Wireless Adapter - Not Working

Help anyone,

Having installed windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, I am having problems getting a wireless internet connection setup through a Belkin N wireless modem router F5D8633-4.

A connection can be established with the router through a cable; but when scaning for available wireless network via the setup wizard nothing is detected.
Not even the other nearby networks in the surrounding properties.

I have updated the firmware for the router to the latest version from the Belkin site, and the latest driver for the usb adapter has been installed.
However under device manager the following message is displayed for the usb adapter:-
The drivers for this device are not installed.
(Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution? or can anyone recommend something?

Thanks for posting.
The reason you cannot connect is you do not have a driver loaded that is compatible.
When it says "click Update Driver", have you clicked this to see if Windows can find a compatible driver from the web? If not then please click this and
allow Windows to search online for a compatible driver.
If it does and cannot locate one, the driver that is for that card is incompatable, and you will need to change your wireless adapter to one that is Windows 7 compatible.
